Dr. Ashley Denton; Founder
The founder of the Wilderness Ministry Institute and the author of Outdoor Leadership: Theology, Theory and Practice, and editor of The Personality of Jesus: How to Introduce Young People to Jesus Christ and Help them Grow in their Faith.
Joel; WMI Director
For over 25 years Joel has been actively involved in outdoor leadership and wilderness ministry. With a passion for seeing people's lives impacted by Christ, He brings his experience of thousands of field days in more than 50 countries to the training courses he leads. He has been working with Nexus and WMI for over 10 years and has served as director since 2020.
Andrew; WMI Staff
Andrew has spent over 15 years working in domestic and international experiential education, wilderness programming and camp management settings; in addition to 10 plus years of youth ministry. He recently joined the WMI staff in 2018.
Jon; WMI Staff
For over 20 years Jon has been actively involved in outdoor leadership and wilderness ministry. He has been working with Nexus and WMI for over 12 years and has been working in youth ministry for 25 years in over 30 countries.
